Time: 9:30 AMTrailhead: Redwood Creek Trailhead.
“South Side Views and History” Fitness hike with docent Karen Ulring. We’ll see the former site of the famous Banducci Heather Farms, hiking up Heather Cut Off to great views along the Coastal View trail, while learning of the many changes to the west side of Mt Tam and Kent Canyon.
Distance: 9.6 miles
Elevation gain: 1637 ft.
Strenuous.
What to bring: Come prepared. Wear good hiking shoes/boots. Bring plenty of water, lunch and snacks. Hiking poles are recommended on this mountain.
Participation: Hikes are limited to 20 people per leader. First come, first serve. Be on time to allow for parking and meeting with your group. No entrance fee. No pets (unless otherwise specified).
Cancellation policy: Rain or winds above 30 mph will cancel.
Parking: Pantoll, Bootjack, and East Peak trailheads require an $8 parking fee (exact change or check).
