Explore topography and microclimates and see effects on native plant species. View flowering summer native plants. Learn about history of prior use of Mt Tamalpais. Evaluate relevance of trail names to historical processes on Mt Tamalpais. Hikers should bring sufficient water during summer season.

What to bring: Come prepared. Wear good hiking shoes/boots. Bring plenty of water, lunch and snacks. Hiking poles are recommended on this mountain.
Participation: Hikes are limited to 20 people per leader. First come, first serve. Be on time to allow for parking and meeting with your group. No entrance fee. No pets (unless otherwise specified).
Cancellation policy: Rain or winds above 30 mph will cancel.
Parking: Pantoll, Bootjack, and East Peak trailheads require an $8 parking fee (exact change or check).
