9:30 AM Saturday Hike -Strenuous-Ferns Led by Lizzy Silverstein

Ferns are an important and ancient part of the lush greenery that abounds in our forests. Come learn about some of the first vascular plants dating back to the time when dinosaurs roamed the earth and beyond! We will walk down to Cataract Fall and continue to Alpine Lake. We’ll loop back up the Kent, Potrero and the Mickey O’Brien trails. About 7.2 miles, 1,818 ft. elevation gain. Difficulty: Strenuous.
