“Mt. Tam Views and History” Fitness hike with docent Sue Karp. Walk a portion of the horse and wagon trail that took passengers from Stinson Beach to West Point Inn. Enjoy extensive views of the Bay area and adjoining counties from different vistas. Hike over Rocky Knoll, composed primarily of Serpentine, the state rock of California.

Elevation gain: 670 ft.

What to bring: Come prepared. Wear good hiking shoes/boots. Bring plenty of water, lunch and snacks. Hiking poles are recommended on this mountain.
Participation: Hikes are limited to 20 people per leader. First come, first serve. Be on time to allow for parking and meeting with your group. No entrance fee. No pets (unless otherwise specified).
Cancellation policy: Rain or winds above 30 mph will cancel.
Parking: Pantoll, Bootjack, and East Peak trailheads require an $8 parking fee (exact change or check).
